wednesdays are for:
waking up coughing up gross substances. having a cigarette for breakfast. trying to look as sexy as possible and realizing you have no sexy clothes. pretending you don’t fart or shit around a lover. having a cheese burger at a place where old men come to banter. keeping secrets. trying to figure out if you are jaded or aware that this is just the way things are. realizing you’re...

art journals. the realization that you and your ex boyfriend are actually friends and can discuss the awkward moments between new potential lovers. goat curry roti. an over due stoned nap. wearing a well made but cheap new top. missing the UPS man, again. an overcast sky grey with doubt.

i have been wanting to write something for quite sometime. but truth is i been kind of lazy about it. truth being that i am scared of it at times, well scared of myself. i know writing regularly reveals something about me that i did not recognize before, and i think i have been blocked because i am not yet ready for what myself has yet to reveal to myself next.
this block has been bugging me for...
its unspoken, and it resonates in my heart. its devotion and i am happy in it.

“he probably was. Your problem is you don’t understand what that word means. People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soul mate is a mirror, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and...

Sometimes
therealkatiewest:
Lately I’ve been feeling really discouraged by certain events. These events have made me question my actions and my choices - which is fine, all things can stand for a little questioning. But sometimes I get discouraged that these things are making me think I have to answer to someone for what I do. I found something a woman wrote about me today that said
the real katie west...

mnmal:
1. Don’t overthink. 2. Just start. 3. Forget perfection. 4. Don’t mistake motion for action. 5. Focus on the important actions. Clear the distractions. Pick the one most important thing you must do today, and focus on that. Exclusively. When you’re done with that, repeat the process. 6. Move slowly, consciously. 7. Take small steps. 8. Negative thinking gets you nowhere. 9. Meetings...
